PASSING is a tool for evaluating the quality of any human service program, agency or system, according to how well it implements Social Role Valorization (SRV) theory.
PASSING is also used to thoroughly teach the theory and implications of SRV.
The overall structure of the PASSING tool is based on the two major avenues which SRV proposes as the avenues toward valued social roles, with an eye toward greater access to the ‘good things of life‘:
1. image enhancement
2. competency enhancement
